Neteller Returns To US Online Casino Action

Neteller was once the biggest and best online payment provider for US players opening accounts at online casinos. Transactions were extremely fast and reliable, safety was never a concern, and American casino gamers made it the most popular online deposit and e-wallet method for opening their US-friendly online casino accounts during the early and mid-2000′s. But right amidst its rise to account funding dominance in the US online casino marketplace, approximately 6 years ago, US prosecutors hit the company with a $136 million fine.

Neteller at that time that chose to focus on the European and Asian markets, and left many US online casino gamers without their preferred deposit method. But several things have happened over the past 19 months which have paved the way for a return of Neteller as an accepted online deposit method in the US. In late 2011 the United States Department of Justice decided to allow each individual state to decide its own online gambling destiny. Since then New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada have all legalized online gambling in some form.

There are also currently three pieces of legislation at the federal level in the United States proposing legalizing blanket online gambling across the US, and states like California and Pennsylvania seem very close to legalizing statewide online gambling for their residents and visitors. Recently Neteller triumphantly returned to the United States online payment processing marketplace, after signing a deal with Bally Technologies to provide online payment processing services in the U.S. market.

With the US online casino gambling market once again open in the three states mentioned above, and possibly nationwide in the near future, Neteller is wise to have another go in America. The company will begin offering services in Nevada, where they inked a partnership with Caesars Interactive Entertainment just three months ago. Bally made history as the first company to receive an interactive gaming license from Nevada gaming regulators, and launched a free play site that will soon offer pay for play options.

Neteller will originally offer online poker players in the Silver State the ability to fund their Internet accounts with credit cards, debit cards and electronic check processing. And as US online casino action arrives in Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware, Bally and Caesars will be poised to offer Neteller virtual account funding in those states as well. This is a significant announcement in the online poker and online casino deposit method marketplace in the United States.
